What is water sanitisation and when is it worth implementing?
Water sanitisation is the process of maintaining stable microbiological quality within a water system. It is worth implementing wherever water quality affects production safety, animal health, process consistency or compliance with industry requirements. It is of particular importance in systems prone to biofilm growth, secondary contamination or fluctuations in microbiological parameters.
Why is biofilm in water systems such a major problem?
Biofilm can develop inside pipes, tanks and system components, remaining invisible despite seemingly clean water. It is often responsible for recurring microbiological contamination, a decrease in process efficiency, quality problems and difficulties in maintaining stable water parameters.
Is a one-off disinfection of the system sufficient?
In many cases, a one-off disinfection only provides a temporary solution. It may limit the problem for a short time, but if the source of contamination is a biofilm, the risk of its recurrence remains high. Therefore, EHT focuses on a systemic approach – an analysis of the installation, removal of contaminants, and continuous sanitisation, which helps maintain water control in the long term.
What does the 3H System involve?
